Serving with Purpose

Senior Pastors

David and Becky Darst

Their story

Pastor David and Becky met in March of 1992 in Tyler, TX. They were married in September of 1992. God blessed them with three beautiful children who love the Lord and serve in the body of Christ. Their journey in the ministry started as Pastor David and Becky joined his grandfather’s church where he served as the music minister. Soon after, David surrendered to preach the Gospel. God has continued to pour His grace, mercy and love on them as they serve and care for His people.

Their Purpose

Jesus said in Matthew 28:19-20, “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you, and behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Pastor David and Becky have a passion for reaching to those who do not know the Lord as their Savior, bringing them to the knowledge of the saving grace Jesus has for them. They also have a passion to disciple the Lord’s church so that it can grow in grace and love for Jesus and one another. Their heart desires to help people understand that no matter where you are, what you’ve done or may do in the future, God’s grace is big enough. His love is wide enough and His arm is long enough to save you.

Becky serves as the Children’s Pastor for Trinity Kids. She is passionate about creating environments loved by children that help them engage their faith and their relationship with the Lord. As a team, they minister to the spiritual needs of the Trinity family and the community. Biblical Study Pastors

Forest and Kathy Evans

Their story

Brother Forest and Mrs. Kathy met when she joined Emmanuel Baptist Church, where he taught an adult Bible class. Forest had been involved in music and teaching ministries since the early seventies. Kathy had been involved in music and youth ministries since the early seventies. In 2012, Brother Forest became Pastor of Emmanuel and served our Lord there until 2022. He and Kathy were married in 2018.

Their Purpose

Together they have dedicated their lives to teaching the Word of God. Brother Forest believes the greatest need in the church of today is discipleship. Discipleship is the equipping of the saints through a relationship with their Savior. This is accomplished through a divine revelation of “The Word of God” as the scripture is opened to us. Hebrews 10:7 says, “in the volume of the book, it is written of me.” From cover to cover, the Bible is the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Their Job

Forest and Kathy are dedicated to the ministry and mission of Trinity Church Palestine as they work together to raise up men and women of God who will “Stand having girded themselves with truth….and feet shod with the preparation of the Gospel of Peace” (Ephesians 6:14-15). They desire to disciple others to “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needs not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15).
